Is the bare escentuals heavenly face brush softer than the kabuki brush?
I have both and to be honest, the softness is about the same 
Bare Escentuals uses great quality fibers in their brushes. At first glance though, you may think the heavenly face brush isn't as soft just because it's flat topped, but that's not the case. It did take me some getting used to, because I had never used a flat topped brush before, so at first I ended up applying more foundation than I needed. The kabuki brushes (both the handy buki and baby buki) are the same softness.
If you are trying to *decide* between the two, if you only want to buy one, I'd go with the handy buki because it gives the most coverage. Of course, I'm a makeup brush junkie so I love them all.
